Ignatius "Iggy" Castaldo's Vietnam Album

These pics were sent by Iggy Castaldo, a '67 -'68 Member of C Battery, Gun3.
He along with C battery, were at FSB BURT, and they were just across the road
from Gun 1, "Dusty" Lowe's Gun. That was right behind the portion of the Infantry's perimeters that took the brunt of the major assault of enemy troops. Thanks, Iggy!
There are also quite a few "coming home" pictures. Looks like one heck of a party!

Huey comin or goin. If you look real close, you can see the Crest of the 187th AHC "Crusaders/Blackhawks" on the front
One of the FM Radio antennas on the left. Looks like Iggy is aimed where a chopper will come into the frame, for clickin on.
And here they come, right on time. Or go.

Great shot of where they put that great big ol bullet. Think about a SHOTGUN that big, and what it might do! It was and it did!

Some of them big 'ol bullets we wuz talkin 'bout earlier. So far, most of this stuff is between the 28th - 31st Dec.
There is ALWAYS plain-tee of 'work' to do at a FSB, and soon after arrivin, they start doin it.

HELLO up there, from down here. Many of the postitions at BURT were at least partially pre dug for us by the engineers with 'dozers. In the form of trenches, most of which kind of sloped back up towards the ground above. If memory serves me.
This looks like C Btry Field Mess.
