This is the Quad .50 that was blown up by one of our guns with an HE 105 round I believe during Soui Tre. Or beehive. The enemy was in the process of turning it upon the us. Taken a few weeks before the battle.

This the twin 40MM "Duster." We always had at least one of them and usually a couple of Quads with us at our FSBs. Note the IIFFV, 2d Bn. 5th ADA Designation on the left of the front.

This of course,is a swimmin hole break. For you interested civilians, the "Swimmin Hole" started as a 1,000lb. bomb crater caused by a B-52. Lots of them in our AO. 3rd Platoon, C/2/22 Inf.(M) hadn't had a bath in weeks.

This is Combat Lynn, "The Butcher Baby". He's gettin ready to go on patrol. He was not posing, but caught unaware.
|
These are some Arty "Practice Shots" on the treeline of Soui Tre called by Lynn. At the order of his Lt. Probably similar to what is often called "Final protective fires" by the Arty

This picture is an old fashioned "Instant Replay" of Lynn washing at a Viet Cong river camp. Set up cuz he fingered it would make a great "Life in the bush" shot. Good thinkin, Butcher Baby, hahaha!

The "Dreadnoughts" (2/34 Armor) in scratch head conference. Do we have to "break" the track to get off all the vines that wrapped around the drive sprocket? Best recollection - Lynn thinks they did.
